Then add <strong>1\u00a0egg yolk<\/strong> and up to <strong>2 TBS of cold\u00a0water slowly<\/strong>, until you\u2019ve <strong>form<\/strong>ed a <strong>dough<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grease a pie dish<\/strong> and fit the dough into it. If you\u2019re handy with a rolling pin, then you can roll it out flat. Once this is all done, you need to put it in the <strong>fridge for 30 minutes<\/strong> to firm up while you prepare the filling. At this point, set up your <strong>BBQ for indirect<\/strong> cooking and preheat to <strong>190C (375F).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Maple Bacon Pecan Pie Recipe: The Filling<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook<\/strong> up <strong>4 slices of\u00a0bacon<\/strong>. Do this <strong>on the hotplate<\/strong> on your BBQ. Move the bacon onto some <strong>paper towel to drain<\/strong> and then <strong>put 2 cups of\u00a0pecans onto the hotplate<\/strong>. Yes, you\u2019re going to <strong>toast them<\/strong> in the bacon drippings. Depending on how fatty the bacon was, you <strong>might need to wipe off some of the drippings with a paper towel<\/strong>, but make sure you <strong>leave enough<\/strong> on there to really get that <strong>bacon flavour<\/strong> into the nuts.<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, <strong>combine 1\/4 cup of brown\u00a0sugar and 1 TBS of\u00a0corn flour.<\/strong> Then <strong>add 2\u00a0eggs<\/strong> and <strong>1 egg white<\/strong> and <strong>mix very well<\/strong>, until the mixture is smooth. \u00a0Now <strong>add your bacon, pecans and 1 cup of maple syrup and stir through<\/strong>. Get your <strong>pie dish<\/strong> out of the refrigerator and <strong>pour in the mix<\/strong>. Now put it in the BBQ and <strong>bake it for 30 minutes or until the filling is firm<\/strong>.
